Dr. Obidimma Ezezika

Obidi Ezezika is an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream, in the Interdisciplinary Centre for Health and Society at the University of Toronto Scarborough and in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology and the Founder of the African Centre for Innovation and Leadership Development, where he leads a number of global health and food security initiatives.

He has worked and consulted for diverse organizations such as the United Nations Development Program, Canada’s International Development Research Centre, the Ministry of Science and Technology, Nigeria, the Sandra Rotman Centre, Yale’s Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology, and Grand Challenges Canada. His research interests lie at the nexus of trustbuilding, biotechnology development, food security, and global health innovation. He has a PhD in Microbiology from University of Georgia and a Master’s degree in Environmental Management from Yale University.
