Benjamin Apraku Gyampoh

Dr Benjamin Apraku Gyampoh, Ph.D. is the Founding Editor-in-Chief of Scientific African Journal and has been in this role since April 2018. Scientific African is owned by the Next Einstein Forum and operated by the NEF Community of Scientists. Benji is a researcher and lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, an affiliate of the Institute of Climate Change and Adaptation of the University of Nairobi, Kenya. He has an in-depth understanding of research management and the research and publishing landscape, having worked previously with institutions including the African Academy of Sciences, Kenya; and the International Water Management Institute, Ghana. His research centers around vulnerability assessment and adaptation to climate change; water resources and watershed management; Environmental systems analysis; ecosystem resilience; and indigenous knowledge systems.

He is passionate about developing robust, reliable scientific systems and infrastructure for knowledge-led and evidence-based decision making for sustainable global development. He works to create strong and meaningful partnerships and the right environments for science development and scientists to thrive and excel in Africa.
