Hassan Sillah at 11th grade represented his country in the 21st Edition of the Pan-African Mathematics Olympiad. Upon graduation, he worked as an intern at the TB Diagnostic Lab at the Medical Research Council, MRCG. he was then awarded the MasterCard Scholarship to study Computer Science at Ashesi University College, Ghana. Upon return to the Gambia, he worked as a Physics and Mathematics teacher at the Gambia Senior Secondary School. He is currently a final year student at the University of the Gambia majoring in Physics, while working as the IT Manager at the SBEC International School. He is also the president of the Robotics Hub Gambia, and co-founder and CEO of Sakina, a software startup. He is equally an executive member of the African Collective Impact that promotes STEM initiatives in Africa.
