Ghana successfully launched its first satellite into space. GhanaSat-1, which was developed by students at All Nations University in Koforidua, was sent into orbit from the International Space Station. The satellite was developed by students at All Nations University in Kaforidua with support from the Kyutech Institute of Technology in Japan. GhanaSat1 was sent into orbit from the International Space Centre after two years of hard work and a $50,000 investment into the project.
