The Next Einstein Forum promotes a vibrant and cohesive African scientific community – including both young and experienced scientists.
The majority of African countries, upon attaining independence, focused their development agendas on governance and humanities. In the last 10 years, African nations have begun to invest time and national resources in scientific development. This network is also beginning to unlock the potential of networked institutions including universities and research centres.
The Next Einstein Forum (NEF) is focused on promoting a vibrant and cohesive scientific community, including both established and young scientists, that has the agency and the resources to lead Africa’s scientific development. This scientific community must be a full member that actively contributes to the global scientific community. The NEF Global Gathering provides a platform for discussion and action to advance this important priority.
